Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master Training

Kyoto, Japan | March 16–21, 2026 | Group size: 7–14 | $3900

  • Experience a life-changing Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master Training on Mt. Kurama Yama in Kyoto, Japan—the sacred site where Usui Sensei first received Reiki. This immersive class prepares you to teach Reiki I & II and Reiki Master, building on the foundation of Reiki energy while introducing two new symbols and their unique frequencies. You’ll be attuned surrounded by the same ancient trees where Usui Sensei is believed to have received his awakening.

Your journey unfolds on Mount Kurama, a powerful energy vortex that naturally deepens spiritual growth. This all-inclusive package covers your training, certificate, course manual, and five nights of lodging and meals at a traditional Japanese ryokan at the base of the mountain. Each evening features a beautifully crafted multi-course dinner, followed by time to unwind in the onsite onsen. Sleep on a traditional shiki in a peaceful tatami room, soothed by the sound of a mountain spring. Optional daily yoga sessions are also offered to support your body and spirit.

We look forward to sharing Reiki with you at its birthplace.

  • To qualify for this Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master Training, you must have completed Reiki I & II at least six months prior to the start of class and facilitated at least 100 sessions (including sessions on yourself, animals, and plants). Training from any lineage is welcome. If you did not study with Twin Cities Reiki Master, proof of previous training will be required.

We also strongly recommend having good physical stamina. The journey to the summit of Mt. Kurama involves a 1,200-foot elevation gain from our lodging. While an optional cable car can take you partway, you will still need to ascend roughly 800 feet on foot—primarily via stairs—with rest stops available. Plan to reach the summit in about one hour. The climb is comparable to walking the height of the Empire State Building (102 flights). We would hate for you to travel so far and miss the Ignitions, class sessions, and Reiki sharing that take place at the mountaintop and are essential for completing the course and receiving your certificate. The ascent is challenging, but the experience—and the view—is truly worth it.

A valid passport and any required travel documents are necessary. While we will offer general travel guidance, all arrangements and confirmations are your responsibility.

  • We recommend arriving in Japan at least 2–3 days before the start of class and staying in a hotel in northern Kyoto. This extra time will help you adjust to the time difference—Japan is 15 hours ahead of Central Daylight Time—and ensure you begin the training feeling grounded and well-rested.

In this training, you will learn eight new symbols and the unique energies they invite. You’ll be attuned to these frequencies surrounded by the same ancient trees where Usui Sensei is believed to have had his awakening.

Each evening, savor a beautifully crafted multi-course dinner—each dish a harmonious blend of flavor, texture, and artistry—then unwind in the onsite onsen.
